Is my work of equal value to my colleague's?

Paste your job description and a colleague's. We weigh both on the four factors of the pay transparency law and show where your work overlaps and where it differs.

Why this matters

Equal pay applies not only to the same work but also to work of equal value. Two roles with different titles can be of equal value, and two roles in the same pay grade need not be.

Under the Dutch pay transparency law, expected in 2027, you may ask what colleagues doing the same work or work of equal value earn on average, broken down by gender. This comparison helps you see which colleagues that question is about.

At least 200 characters per description, at most 6.000. The more concrete the duties, the sharper the weighting.

No job description at hand? Ask HR for it, check the intranet, or use the vacancy text for the role.

We strip personal names before the text is sent. The weighting runs via Anthropic, our AI subprocessor. We delete the descriptions as soon as the outcome is ready; the result stays reachable by its link for seven days.

The four factors

Skills

Level of knowledge, Experience, Complexity of problems, Social and communication skills, Technical and motor skills

Effort

Mental effort, Emotional effort, Physical effort

Responsibility

For results and decisions, For people, For resources or information, For external relationships

Working conditions

Physical conditions, Psychosocial conditions, Irregular hours and availability

This comparison is an indication based on the text you paste, not a legal opinion. Which roles form a category together is decided by your employer.
